Welcome to Blue Ribbon Accoyo Alpacas website!

One of our goals is to breed and sell the highest quality alpacas available anywhere; that is why we specialize in full Accoyo alpacas. Accoyo alpacas are either imported alpacas or direct descendants of imports from Estancia Accoyo, an alpaca ranch in Peru. This ranch was owned and operated by Don Julio Barreda, who over a period of four decades of careful breeding selections managed to create the best white-fleeced alpacas in the world.

Some characteristics of the Accoyo alpacas:
- extreme fineness
- extreme fleece density
- bright and lustrous fleece
- uniformity and strength of crimp
- uniformity of fleece
- uniformity of phenotype
- uniformity of alpaca type (pure suris and pure huacayas)
- consistently greater fleece yields
- higher adult body weights (larger alpacas translates into more fleece per animal, and
- generally white with many generations of white ancestors.
